2018 Year in Review

2018 books

I won’t do reviews for these since it’s been quite a while since I’ve read them, but this is the list of books I read in 2018 with a quick rating on the ones I recall well enough!

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas (4.5/5 stars)

A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas (5/5 stars THE BLUEPRINT!)
-A Court of Thorns and Roses (4.5/5 stars)
-A Court of Mist and Fury (100/5 stars best book ever written)
-A Court of Wings and Ruin (4.5/5 stars)

Graceling by Kristin Cashore (3/5 stars)

Kids Like Us by Hilary Reyl (3/5 stars)

Selection series by Kiera Cass (3/5 stars)
-The Selection
-The Elite
(*DNF the rest of the series)

Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson (4.5/5 stars overall)
-Beauty of Darkness
-Heart of Betrayal
-Kill of Deception

Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo (4/5 stars overall…mal hater and the darkling stan for life)
-Shadow and Bone
-Siege and Storm
-Ruin and Rising

The Bargainer series by Laura Thalassa (4.5/5 stars overall)
-Rhapsodic
-Strange Hymn
-The Emperor of Evening Stars

Penryn and the End of Days series by Susan Ee (2.5/5 overall…while I loved the characters in the book, my biggest issue was that it was a bit too slow burn for me, and we never get to see the characters actually *be* together)
-Angelfall
-World After
-End of Days

Unearthly series by Laura Thalassa (2.5/5 stars overall)
-The Unearthly
-The Coveted
-The Cursed

Air Awakens series by Elise Kova (4.5/5 stars overall…I LOVE this series. It’s significantly underrated. I really want to reread and review soon!)
-Air Awakens
-Fire Falling
-Earths End
-Waters Wrath
-Crystal Crowned (accidentally dnf’d)

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black (4.5/5 stars…read my 2019 post for my ratings for the rest of the series!)

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (3.5/5 stars…just not a big heist fan!)

I know this is only really a list, but this year was a big year for me, as it was the first year that I really got back to my old reading habits. I’m so thankful for all these books for being the reason I am the reader I am today, two years later!
