2021 To Be Read (TBR) List…and How I Did on my 2020 TBR

I love making and updating a To Be Read List, even if I only sometimes consult it, and nearly never fully complete it, especially a year long TBR list! But the beauty of the book community is I am always getting more recs, moving current books “up” or “down” my TBR, and picking up books on and off my list on a whim. Sometimes I think half the fun of reading books is planning out what and when you’re going to read!

So without delay, here is my loosely assembled TBR list for 2021, not in any particular order:

  • The Beautiful and The Damned (currently reading) by Renee Ahdieh

So, how did I do on my initial 2020 TBR?

So here is an exact copy of my written out TBR for 2020, and I will write next to it if I read it or not. Let’s see how this goes….

Series to read:
Winternight trilogy – I DNF’d in the third book 😦
Caraval series – I read this!
Furyborn series – Well, I read the first book…
Malediction trilogy – I had to google this to even remember what it was; it’s the Stolen Songbird series. I read the first few chapters of the first book…it didn’t capture my interest.
Star Wars Sequel Trilogy Novelizations – Not until they bring back Ben Solo
Finish the Three Dark Crowns series – I read most of them then DNF the last one cause it was going horribly

Stand alone books:
Little Weirds – No
Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – No
Trick Mirror – No
Strange The Dreamer – No and it’s not a standalone? lmao
The Beautiful – I started this the other day! Currently reading
The Shadows Between Us – No because I heard mixed things
House of Earth and Blood – YES 5 stars!
Lovely War – No
Dear Girls- Yes!
If we were villians – No

Rereads:
Grishaverse books – No
Folk of Air series- No
Air Awakens series- No
ToG series- No but hopefully soon
ACOTAR series- No but definitely soon!

So basically I read one full series, three series partially, 2 standalones, and no full rereads on my entire TBR…not the best!

Nonetheless, this is still fun, so come back in 2022 to see how I do in 2021!
